3 Things You Need to Know About the Dollywood Festival of Nations

Although the rides and shows at Dollywood are currently hibernating for the winter, the park is already gearing up for their 2017 season which opens on March 18. The park features several highly rated festivals throughout the year, and the spring season kicks off with the Festival of Nations. Here is everything that you need to know about this exciting festival:

1. Dates and Cost

Dollywood’s Festival of Nations runs from March 18 to April 9, and takes place on all park operating days. All shows, rides and attractions are included with Dollywood admission, which also includes any of the special shows that are part of the Festival of Nations. A variety of admission tickets are available to the park.

Invaders Steel Orchestra
This Caribbean steel pan orchestra is a guest favorite, returning to the Festival of Nations with their unique sound of the tropics.

Mother Africa
This incredible performance showcases a combination of colorful costumes, comedy, acrobatics and dance set to the sounds of a live band.

Streichmusik Alder
The tradition and music of the Swiss Alps come to Dollywood in the form of a talented ensemble direct from Switzerland. The group presents a unique performance consisting of yodeling, folk instruments and tales of the Swiss mountain culture.

Slask
Slask is one of Europe’s most well known music and folk dance groups, consisting of over 30 dancers. The performers represent different regions of Poland by wearing beautiful handmade embroidered costumes.

Dearbhail Finnegan and Robin Slater
Dearbhail Finnegan and Robin Slater are a delightful Irish husband and wife duo who play the harp and flute, respectively. The charming couple creates a memorable experience by presenting a combination of enchanting music and humor.

Atahualpa
This group of skilled musicians present the culture and history of the Andes Mountains told through a fun performance of traditional dance and music.

Hodman & Sally
Hodman & Sally, from the country of “Oblivia”, are an interactive street theatre puppet act that enchants both children and adults as they set out on their daily adventures.
