4. The Island in Pigeon Forge

This is one of the only pet friendly trails in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It is about 3.6 miles roundtrip and considered easy. You’ll cross over the Little Pigeon River on a footbridge, and explore wooded areas. Closer to the end of the trail, you’ll see old remains of homesteads. Your pet does have to be on a leash when you hike this trail.
