1. Hollywood Wax Museum
The Hollywood Wax Museum is a can’t-miss attraction for fans of the silver screen. This popular museum is home to lifelike wax replicas of all your favorite movie stars. Visitors will have the chance to pose for a selfie with Vin Diesel, Halle Berry, Tom Hanks, Angelina Jolie, Robert Downey Jr., Harrison Ford, Will Ferrell, and many more beloved actors and actresses.
In addition to today’s hottest celebrities, the Hollywood Wax Museum hosts statues of movie stars from decades gone by, including Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, John Wayne, Charlie Chaplin, and Audrey Hepburn. The museum also features a number of re-created stages and props from iconic movies and TV shows, such as Forrest Gump’s bench and I Love Lucy’s Vitameatavegamin commercial, so you can take the perfect souvenir photo.
2. Titanic Museum Attraction
Coming aboard the Titanic Museum Attraction is like stepping back in time! The exterior of this museum is a half-scale model of the RMS Titanic, and the inside of the museum features full-scale re-creations of rooms from the famous ocean liner. The centerpiece of the Titanic Museum Attraction is the re-creation of the ship’s grand staircase, which is absolutely stunning.
Visitors to the museum will have the chance to see over 400 artifacts from the actual Titanic, which are valued at $4 million. The Titanic Museum is famous for its interactive exhibits, where guests can “shovel coal” in the ship’s engine room, “steer” the Titanic using the Captain’s wheel, stick their hand in 28-degree salt water, and touch an iceberg.
3. Alcatraz East Crime Museum
The Alcatraz East Crime Museum is the successor to the National Museum of Crime & Punishment in Washington, DC. When the museum made the move to Pigeon Forge, the new building was designed to feature elements from the famous Alcatraz prison in San Francisco and the first Tennessee State Prison near Nashville.
Alcatraz East is divided into five areas themed around the history of crime in America, the consequences of crime, crime scene investigation, crime fighting, and crime in pop culture. The museum is home to some truly impressive artifacts, including Al Capone’s rosary, Bonnie and Clyde’s getaway car, John Dillinger’s death mask, Al Pacino’s submachine gun from the movie Scarface, and O.J. Simpson’s Ford Bronco. Guests will enjoy a number of fun interactive exhibits where they can visit a CSI lab, crack a safe, steal jewels from a museum, and fire at targets in a simulated shooting range.
