This hugely popular show centers on the decades-long feud between the Hatfields and the McCoys, two Southern families who are quick to throw a punch and reach for their pistols. Guests will root for their favorite family as the two clans attempt to settle their differences once and for all. Loaded with hilarious antics, impressive stunts, and great music, this show is a blast for guests of all ages.
Be sure to come hungry to the Hatfield & McCoy Show because the all-you-can-eat dinner is absolutely delicious! Highlights of the menu include BBQ pulled pork, fried chicken, mashed potatoes, homemade bread, and a special dessert. The Hatfield & McCoy Show runs all year round.
2. Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountain Adventures
Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountain Adventures is another one of the best Pigeon Forge dinner theater shows. Set in 1939, this heartwarming show tells the story of how Dolly’s parents, Lee Parton and Avie Lee Owens, fell in love as young adults. As the romance grows between Lee and Avie, their families compete against each other in the Smoky Mountain Family Contest, which is filled with rope climbing, juggling, trampoline jumping, and other electrifying stunts.
During the show, guests will feast upon Southern favorites like fried chicken, buttermilk biscuits, corn on the cob, and peach pie. Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountain Adventures runs from mid-March through December each year.
3. Great Smoky Mountain Murder Mystery Dinner Show
The Great Smoky Mountain Murder Mystery Dinner Theater is perfect for anyone who loves a good whodunnit! This fun theater produces a number of hilarious murder mystery shows that parody classic television programs and movies, such as Gone with the Wind, The Beverly Hillbillies, and The Dukes of Hazzard. Guests will love playing along and trying to correctly identify the killer, if they’re not too busy laughing, that is! Please note that children are welcome, but the shows are rated PG-13 by the theater.
For dinner, the Great Smoky Mountain Murder Mystery Theater serves up a hearty meal of pork loin, fried chicken, soup, green beans, mashed potatoes, and cheesecake. The theater is open all year round, although there are fewer showtimes in January and February.
4. Soul of Motown
Hosted by the Grand Majestic Dinner Theater, the Soul of Motown is a must for music fans. This amazing show features toe-tapping renditions of Motown hits made famous by the likes of The Temptations, Gladys Knight & the Pips, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Smokey Robinson, and other soul music icons. You won’t be able to stop from dancing in your seat!
Before the show, guests can enjoy an all-you-can-eat dinner of parmesan crusted chicken, pasta with meatballs, seasoned vegetables, and peach turnover. The Soul of Motown runs from mid-February through December.
